Tigers start off sloppy

After an emotional opening ceremony, Kansas State received the kickoff, but struggled to move the ball against a jacked up Tiger defense. The Wildcats actually moved backwards while going three-and-out on their first drive.

The Tiger's are currently playing without senior tight end Chase Coffman, however Daniel found freshman tight end Andrew Jones open on the first play. On the next play Daniel's pass fell short of a wide open Jeremy Maclin and was picked off.

The Tigers missed an interception of their own on the very next play. On third and fifteen for Kansas State Missouri came up with a huge sack, but was penalized with a facemask call, giving the Wildcats an automatic first down.

Later in the drive Missouri was called for a pass interference penalty on another pass that should have been intercepted. Still, after all the missed opportunities the Tigers managed to stop Kansas State on fake field goal from the 27 yard line. While a conversion could have provided KSU with a lot of momentum, this was strange call seeing as they had an opportunity to take an early lead on Missouri.

Daniel failed to lead the Tiger offense on its second drive. He's currently two of five passing with an interception and only 19 yards.

What a crazy first quarter this has been. Not to mention, Penn State loss to Iowa just minutes before kickoff here in Columbia, and No. 1 Alabama barely held off LSU in overtime.
