Senior defensive end Aldon Smith drilled Kansas State's Coffman to force the fumble as he raised his arm to throw. Junior defensive end Jacquies Smith then scooped up the loose ball and took it to the house.
Tigers now lead 28-14 with 5:34 left in the third quarter.
