Nothing is going right for Missouri
Missouri seems to be more distracted by its jerseys than it does playing a football game. Daniel and the MU offense struggled on its second drive, going three and out once again.
Kansas had a good drive on their next drive, driving 53 yards in 15 plays. Kenji Jackson stepped up big, picking off KU quarterback Todd Reesing in the endzone.
On Missouri's next drive, Daniel took off down the field for a 54-yard run, only to fumble when tackled.
Missouri starts out looking sluggish
Missouri looked very sluggish on its opening drive. After Daniel threw two incomplete passes, he finally completed one — to Kansas safety Darrell Stuckey. Stuckey returned the ball to the Missouri 20 yard line. The Missouri defense stepped up big, holding Kansas to a three-and-out and 34-yard field goal. Kansas now leads 3-0.
20 Minutes to Kickoff
Fans are beginning to pack Arrowhead Stadium and are getting a nice surprise by seeing Missouri warming up in gold jerseys with black pants.
It is a cold day at Arrowhead, with snow beginning to come in.
Earlier in warmups, the MU offense was on the field warming up, but sophomore wide receiver Jeremy Maclin had his own pre game routine. Instead of joining the rest of his teammates in the huddle, Maclin walked over to where Kansas was warming up and began talking trash to them.
