Young guards impressive early

While the Tigers have hit some nice shots and played tight defense, the offense looks like it needs some more time at the chalk board. Early on in the half there was a lot of motion by guys without the ball, but in the past ten minutes or so the offense has revolved around one guy driving, not getting to the basket and dishing it out for someone else to try again.

While a drive and kick style offense can be very successful, no one has really been able to slash through the Lion's defense and score in the paint.

The freshman guards have looked very solid so far as Marcus Denmon came in and drained two threes, including one from way behind the line. Miguel Paul and Kim English have also played solid tonight. Paul probably had the best dish of the season so far as he fired a no-look pass while driving to Tiller on the baseline. Tiller took the ball hard to the hoop and made the bucket while drawing a foul.
