A little too quiet

Call it carryover from the football team's deflating loss to Oklahoma State last night or call it what you want, but its an unusually quiet Hearnes Center crowd today.

Generally, the Hearnes Center crowd is a loud and rowdy bunch, usually meeting every opponent's serve with a sheet of noise reaching decibel levels in the 90s. Today? Almost no noise during Nebraska serves.

I should also mention the large crowd of red-clad fans in the building. Nebraska is known for its large drawing power, perennially leading the nation in home attendance. The Nebraska fans traveled well to see their No. 2 Huskers in action today.
