Missouri drops first set, 25-20
Despite numerous early errors, Missouri was right with the No. 2 Cornhuskers early in the first set. Missouri and Nebraska were tied at 14 before six consecutive Nebraska points changed the set's complexion.
For most teams in the nation, there's no shame in losing to a team as talented as Nebraska. But in the first set, Missouri looked like it beat itself. The six-point swing doomed the Tigers in the first set, and minimizing Nebraska's runs will be key for Missouri to get back in this one.
On the bright side, the Hearnes Center crowd appears to have livened up a bit. The student section seems to have woken up, and the front row of painted chests reads "Shuck 'em."
