Missouri sends three to semi-finals

Senior Raymond Jordan celebrates after his NCAA Tournament quarterfinal win over Iowa's Jay Borchel on Friday at the Scottrade Center in St. Louis. Jordan will face No. 1 seed Steve Luke of Michigan in the semifinals.

Schavrien and Hoehn both lost in their opening matches on Friday morning to end both of their season's.

Chandler lost in a nail-biter to defending national champion Jordan Leen of Cornell. Tied at two points each, Leen was able to take Chandler down with just two seconds remaining in the match to continue his run for a second consecutive title.

Jordan avenged his earlier loss this season to Iowa's Borschel, winning 3-2 in a nail-biting match. Borschel was in deep on a shot on Jordan, but Jordan was able to scramble his way out of bounds and hang on for the win.

Askren scored a reversal in the second and rode out Boise State's No. 3 seed Brent Chriswell for the entire third period to win 3-0. Askren will now wrestle Iowa State's Jake Varner in the semi-finals. Earlier this season, Varner simply man-handled Askren.

Ellis got an escape in the closing seconds of the match to advance to defeat Iowa's Daniel Erekson by one point and advance to the semi-finals as well.

Tonight's semi-finals will be broadcast live on ESPN 2 at 6 p.m. CT. Jordan, Askren and Ellis will all be competing.
