Missouri jumped to an early lead with two touchdowns in the first seven minutes of the game. Since then the Tigers have employed the punt team on most of their possessions, aside from a field goal in the second quarter.

The Red Raiders couldn't find the end zone until the last minute of the half when senior quarterback Taylor Potts threw his first touchdown of the game.

Despite Texas Tech's poor passing defense, Missouri is getting most of their work done on the ground. The Tigers already have a season-high 243 rushing yards, including 101 yards for sophomore Kendial Lawrence. Lawrence and freshman Marcus Murphy have each broken loose for 70-yard touchdown runs.

Gabbert has been held to just 50 yards passing on 6-for-12 passing.

Tigers lead 17-10 and will kickoff to start the second half.
