Big recruit gets warm welcome

It's Senior Night here at Mizzou Arena, so it's almost guaranteed Missouri fans will spend a moment in pregame thinking back ti recent history. However, that doesn't mean Missouri fans aren't looking to the program's future.

In attendance tonight is Jarrid Famous, a junior college recruit out of Valhalla, N.Y. who is being pursued heavily by coach Mike Anderson and his staff. Famous is a 6-10, 230-pound center who is averaging 25 points and 14 rebounds per game. Should Missouri sign Famous, PowerMizzou.com's Gabe DeArmond said he would be "the biggest get of Anderson's tenure."

As Famous walked out of the tunnel on the Mizzou Arena floor to find his way to his seats, he was greeted with an ovation from the Missouri students, some of whom were holding signs bearing his name.
