Safford gets the hot hand
It's clear that Blake Griffin is the focus of this game. Mizzou Arena has developed quite the dislike for the superstar. Just about every time he touched the ball, he drew a foul, something the fans didn't like to see. But a charge on Griffin with at the half way point in the period erupted the crowd.
Sophomore forward Justin Safford has been big for the Tigers. He's connected on two 3-pointers, helping Missouri extend its lead to 24-13. Coach Anderson has Tiller, Lyons, Lawrence, Taylor and Safford on the floor with nine minutes remaining.
