Tyrel Reed turning momentum in favor of KU

In the battle of the benches, Missouri's 11-man rotation was expected to be far deeper and contribute much more than Kansas' smaller group. That advantage is nowhere to be found right now.

Kansas sophomore guard Tyrel Reed came off the bench and immediately contributed to a Kansas lead that now sits at nine with 7:39 remaining in the first half. Reed has six points on two 3-pointers, as well as two rebounds. On one possession, Reed flew over Missouri defenders near the top of the key to grab an offensive rebound, and later threw a ball off Zaire Taylor out-of-bounds to save Kansas a possession, on which they later scored.

Missouri's bench has four points and, outside of Keith Ramsey, has looked overwhelmed. Missouri has gone back to the starting lineup following the TV timeout.
