Jordan upsets Browne, Missouri builds on lead
The next match between highly ranked wrestlers was at 174 between Missouri's Raymond Jordan, ranked No. 5, and Nebraska's Brandon Browne, ranked No. 2. Jordan struck first, scoring a takedown a minute into the match. Browne escaped but Jordan was able to get a minute of riding time in. If Jordan is able to keep that minute advantage, than he will get an extra point at the end of the match. The first period ended with a 2-1 Jordan lead. Jordan escaped just four seconds into the period to go up by two. Going into the third period, Browne took down and quickly escaped to bring the match to within one point. With 45 seconds left, Jordan took Browne down again to take a 5-2 lead, plus a riding time advantage. Browne escaped, but Jordan was able to hang on for a 6-3 win.
Missouri now leads 15-10. The only way that Nebraska can win this dual is to win the next two matches. One more win for Missouri means Missouri wins the dual.
