Nebraska wins match to win dual 16-15
The dual between Missouri and Nebraska came down to the final match, between Missouri's Max Askren, ranked No. 4, and Nebraska's Craig Brester, ranked No. 2. In their previous five matches, Askren has won four of them, but Brester defeated Askren in their most recent meeting.
In Satuday's match, Brester scored first by getting a takedown in the first period. Askren was able to escape immediately, and the first period ended with Brester holding a 2-1 lead. Askren took down in the second period and escaped, but not before Brester was able to get a minute of riding time in. The second period ended in a 2-2 tie. Brester chose to go down and escaped immediately. With 1:11 left, Askren took Brester down but got reversed. With Brester holding a 5-4 lead with 44 seconds left, their was a blood timeout. Brester was able to hang on to win 6-4.
