Missouri finishes blowout of Kansas State
Kansas State's Jacob Pullen opened tonight's game with a three-pointer to give the Wildcats the game's first lead.
Missouri made sure they'd never lead again.
The eighth-ranked Tigers and their relentless style of play wore Kansas State down, baiting the Wilcats into 21 turnovers in a 94-74 Missouri win. Missouri ended the game with only 10 turnovers, after surrendering the ball 17 times in late January loss to Kansas State in Manhattan, Kan.
Missouri had five players in double figures, led by DeMarre Carroll's 21 points. Carroll had a double-double, adding 14 of Missouri's 47 rebounds. Leo Lyons finished another strong evening with 16 points, including going 9-of-9 from the free throw line. J.T. Tiller finished the game with 15 points.
Missouri's other two double-figure scorers came off the bench. Matt Lawrence had an early hot streak to propel him to 13 points, while Laurence Bowers flashed fans forward to the frontcourt of the future with 16 points.
Next up for Missouri is a long anticipated rematch with Kansas in Lawrence, Kan. The game is set to tip off at 1 p.m. Sunday in front of a nationally-televised audience.
