The Columbia Police Review Board has unanimously accepted Wienberg's amendment that in future raids an officer will be charged with knowing whether there are children or animals on a property that is being raided by SWAT. One board member is absent tonight.

The board will now have two motions, on a motion from Wilson. Smith's recommendations are going to be split into two motions: one is to recommend policy changes made by the chief, with Weinberg's amendment and one to accept his assessment that officers were acting within the law and CPD policies at the time of the incident.

The board unanimously approved the first motion.

On the second motion, the board voted 4-3, with LoCurto-Martinez, Wilson and board member John McClure voting no.

"I'm going to vote yes but with a troubled mind because i just haven't found any evidence that the policies in place at the time--no matter how incomplete or unwise," Weinberg said before casting his vote.
