Iraq War time
After around 40 minutes talking about social and economic issues, Ifill has switched to foriegn policy. Palin started out by talking about McCain's support for the surge, and Biden's criticism over Obama's war funding vote. Palin then probably said one of the more controversial things in the debate so far, saying that Obama's plan waves the 'white flag of surrender.' Palin has an interesting strategy here, go after Obama while complimenting Biden.
Biden immediately talked about Obama's Iraq plan, criticizing Palin for not articulating a clear plan. Biden is emphasizing the timeline aspect of their Iraq plan, while hitting Palin and McCain for not wanting to end the war.
