Tigers lose all four matches in first round
The day started off rough for Missouri, with freshman Troy Dolan getting pinned by Nebraska's Andy Pokorny in the second period. Earlier in the season, Pokorny lost to Dolan 3-1. Almost at the same time as the ref called a pin in Dolan's match, sophomore Todd Schavrien lost to Nebraska's Matt Vacanti 7-2 on the other mat. In the third match for Missouri, senior Andrew Sherry lost 7-5 in overtime to Oklahoma State's Luke Silver. Sherry held a one-point lead late in the third period, but Silver was able to escape to send it to overtime. In the final bout of the round for Missouri, Dorian Henderson was the latest Missouri to fall, losing in overtime to Oklahoma State's Chris McNeill 9-4.
Thus far, Missouri looks extremely flat. It will be up to the powers in the lineup to start turning things around for the Tigers in the semi-final round.
