Tigers take lead back with field goal

After their first failed drive on offense, the Missouri punt team downed the kick at the Aztec one-yard line, the third time they've done so in three games.

San Diego State managed a short drive before the Tiger defense forced a punt. Senior cornerback Carl Gettis returned the boot 31 yards down the sideline to start the Missouri offense at the San Diego State 36-yard line.

Gabbert went long to junior receiver Jerrell Jackson in the end zone but it came off his fingertips. Freshman tailback Henry Josey made up for the missed opportunity with a big first down run.

The Aztecs held from there, resulting in a 34-yard field goal by junior place kicker Grant Ressel. The Tigers now lead 10-3 with under a minute left in the first quarter.
