The Marquette Goldean Eagles go into halftime with control of their opening round game in the NCAA Tournament. A 10-0 run over a span of five minutes put Marquette up 23-9 with just over five minutes remaining in the half.

But a late run by the Aggies put most of Taco Bell Arena on its feet. Marquette was forced to call a timeout when USU cut the score to 23-13, erupting the Aggie faithful. The stadium is at least 80 percent filled with Utah St. fans.

A better final two minutes has put USU back in contention with a score of 26-18. The Aggies are going to have to figure out their offense in the second half, as a tight man-to-man defense by the more athletic Eagles forced to Utah St. to shoot just over 30 percent from the floor and 12 percent from 3-point range.
