Missouri-Marquette series background

Missouri and Marquette have played met up eight times before with each team winning four of the contests. The most recent matchup came in 2003 when Dwayne Wade and the Golden Eagles took down Missouri 101-92 in overtime during the second round of the NCAA Tournament in Indianapolis. Marquette went on to make it to the Final Four where it fell to Kansas.

Six years later and the two teams will once again be competing for a trip to the Sweet 16.
