Carroll says his ankle is fine
Missouri's DeMarre Carroll during the Missouri basketball NCAA Sweet Sixteen practice Wednesday afternoon at University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Ariz.
Senior forward DeMarre Carroll has been Missouri's leader both on and off the court all year long. In yesterday's practice the veteran went down with an ankle injury.
After the practice, Carroll told the media, as anyone would at his point, that he was feeling fine.
"I went down, you know," Carroll said. "Try to make a move and I tweaked my ankle a bit. But at this point, it is the Sweet 16. I'm 100 percent."
Carroll was sidelined much of last season with an ankle injury he suffered against California. Without DeMarre, the Tigers may be in trouble. But on the grand stage tonight, it will be tough to feel any pain.
