Washington Puts Tigers On Top

No tags for this entry.

After trailing the entire game, the Tigers finally took the lead. The 7-play, 60-yard drive concluded with a Derrick Washington one-yard touchdown run.

Washington was vital to the entire drive, as he rushed for nearly 20 yards, including the touchdown. But Blaine Gabbert redeemed himself after three quarters of mediocre play. He connected with tight end Andrew Jones twice, but it was his pass to Danario Alexander that set up the score. After making the initial catch, Alexander broke a couple tackles and went 22 yards to the Falcon's one yard line.

Missouri has now scored 21 unanswered points and are in the driver's seat as the game approaches the five-minute mark.
