Obama gets nod from Powell
On Sunday morning, Colin Powell, who served at U.S. Secretary of State during President George Bush's first term, endorsed Democratic presidential hopeful Barack Obama.
Here is a transcript and a video of Powell's endorsement, which aired on NBC's "Meet the Press."
Powell, who was chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff under President George H.W. Bush during Operation Desert Storm and Secretary of State under Bush's son during U.S. invasions of Afghanistan and Iraq, has been involved with American government for over four decades, and has served under presidents of both partisan stripes.
