Robo call targets Graham
Columbia residents received a rather surprising robo-call yesterday evening:
"Come join Chuck Graham's cocktail party tomorrow night. Claire McCaskill and Chuck Graham are celebrating the one-year anniversary of Chuck Graham's DWI car wreck and arrest. The drinks will be flowing at the Tiger Hotel. Chuck Graham knows how to party.
Don't forget to call Ted Farnen at (his home number was listed) to RSVP, and remember to keep his number handy if you're pulled over on the way home. Cheers. Paid for by Citizens Taking Charge, Patrick Wilson, Treasurer."
Graham is the Democratic candidate for the 19th District State Senate. Ted Farnen, Graham’s chief of staff, said he received about 20 calls in response to the message.
Paul Sloca, campaign manager for Republican candidate Kurt Schaefer, said the campaign had nothing to do with the call.
"We don't know anything about this, but it is no secret that there are a lot of regular folks out there who aren't happy with Chuck Graham’s ineffectiveness in Jefferson City." Sloca said.
