AP reports Nixon win in gubernatorial race
The Associated Press reported Attorney General Jay Nixon has defeated Republican opponent Kenny Hulshof in the Missouri's race for governor. Hulshof, however, has not conceeded.
The AP's prediction of Nixon's win was based on an analysis of information from voters interviewed as they left polling places Tuesday. The interviews were conducted by Edison Media Research and Mitofsky.
Hulshof stepped down from his Congressional seat to run for governor. Columbia state Rep. Judy Baker and former Rep. Blaine Luetkemeyer are running to fill that seat.
