Although much of the vote has yet to be tallied, The Associated Press and CNN have already projected decisions in two states.
With 18 percent of precincts reporting, Kentucky has been called for John McCain, with 57 percent of the current vote going to the senator from Arizona compared to 42 percent for Barack Obama. And with 0 percent of precincts reporting, Vermont has been called for Obama. Kentucky will yield eight electoral votes for McCain; Obama will gain three from Vermont.
