Luetkemeyer gains lead

With 342 of 468 precincts reporting, Blaine Luetkemeyer appears to have a commanding lead in the race for 9^th District U.S. Representative.

"I think in the early polling we are exceeding projections in most areas," Luetkemeyer said.

The Republican remained cautious, however, when he said other precincts have not yet been accounted for.

Luetkemeyer said he was disappointed in the numbers out of Boone County, which only minutes ago went Democratic.

He said he had not been contact with his opponent, Democratic state Rep. Judy Baker.
