Messages mislead voters
Text messages and phone calls notifying certain Missouri voters to hold off voting until tomorrow were reported today to the Secretary of State's office.
"CNN Breaking News...All Obama supporters, due to long delays, are asked to wait and vote tomorrow 11/05," one text message said.
Secretary of State Robin Carnahan said in a press release she would not put up with the spread of false election information, which is a class one election offense under Missouri law.
"Every eligible Missourian should be able to cast their ballot today, and my office will immediately respond to reports of misinformation," Carnahan said
The messages were forwarded to the U.S. Attorney's office for further investigation.
Voters should call the Election Division Hotline at 1-800-NOW-VOTE to report any texts or phone calls that contain fraudulent information.

I just received one of these, so I went searching for reports. I live in Arkansas, the message was forwarded to me by my father (asking what was up with it) who also lives in Arkansas, and using a reverse phone lookup, I found out that the number that sent it to him is in Memphis, TN. It is possible this person is not the originator, but for them to forward it as true is unethical.

What I want to know is, why didn't you credit the person you stole the above picture of the text from?

This has been going on all over the country, not just in Missouri. I was told about it happening in Illinois too.

The photo was an attachment with a news release sent from Secretary of State Robin Carnahan. Here's the news release: http://sos.mo.gov/news.asp?id=757 Let The Maneater know if you've heard from anyone else who has received that text and whether they'd like to comment on the situation.

I agree with Micheal/Indiana, but don't limit it to Democrats! I think anyone who doesn't find it fishy that the text said "Obama supporters" instead of voters is not intelligent enough to vote for the leader of the free world!

Is the picture really a big deal? The creator hardly put any effort into it, you can screen shot and email it to yourself in about 10 seconds. Sure, It would of been easy to credit the photo (even though it was just attached to a press release) but that shouldn't push someones ideals off the message of the post. The real message is the voter fraud. Its just a screen shot of a text message.

What a joke. People are truly wicked and sick to deceive people and keep them from exercising their right to choose our leaders. I hope who did this gets caught and pays a hefty price.
