Obama's victory in Ohio evokes emotion at Tiger Hotel

When MSNBC called Ohio for Obama, the crowd at the Tiger Hotel in downtown Columbia erupted.

"Done deal now," Judy Baker supporter Steve Denneke said. "McCain had to win Ohio."

Throughout the room, several Baker fans reflected the notion that Ohio was a must win state for the McCain campaign.

"That starts to close the door on McCain's path," said Thomas Yonker, a volunteer for the Baker campaign.

However, among other Democrats in the room, there remains some slight nervousness about the rest of the results.

"I think it's great he won Ohio, but I'm still waiting for Virginia and Florida," Stephens College student Elana Gormley said.

There is still no sign of Judy Baker at the watch party yet, but everyone in the room seems to believe this is going to be a very good night for the Democrats
