Robb arrives at watch party trailing by a small margin

Both candidates' races for seats in Missouri's state legislature remain too close to call against their Democratic rivals, Chris Kelley and Judy Baker.
Rep. Ed Robb, the incumbent in the 24th legislative district race, awoke early this morning to visit voters "until it got too dark to see."
A few minutes ago he received his first update on the vote tally, which has him losing to Democratic opponent Chris Kelly by a small margin. Kelly has 2,586 votes and Robb rests at 2,431 votes. The Boone County clerk says 27 percent of precincts have reported.
Robb said his first objective, if re-elected, is to "figure out how to balance the budget."
When asked why, Robb said the economy was in dire straits.
“Unless the economy turns around, we really need to do some serious short-term fixes,” he said.
