Schaefer/Graham close

The 19^th Distract race between Democratic candidate Chuck Graham and Republican candidate Kurt Schaefer was still too close to call late in the evening.

With 89 of 115 precincts reporting, Schaefer is carrying 47.9% of the popular vote and Chuck Graham is carrying 47.5 percent. There was not a clear victor in the race until every precinct had reported.

As the additional 26 precincts reported their results, Schaefer won Boone County with 38,620 votes compared to Graham’s 38,232 votes.

With all the Boone County votes counted, Stephen Webber won in the 23^rd district , Chris Kelly in the 24^th , Mary Still in the 25^th , and Cathy Richards won the public administrator race.
