Although it is still too early to call most races in the Show-Me State, two candidates for the U.S. House from Missouri have been declared victorious.

With 8 percent of precincts reporting, longtime Democrtatic incumbent Ike Skelton has maintained his seat in the state's 4th Congressional District, beating Republican challenger Jeffery Parnell with 66 percent of the vote.

In the state's 8th Congressional District, Republican incumbent Jo Ann Emerson also held on to her seat with 72 percent of the vote, beating Democratic challenger Joe Allen, who had 24 percent of the vote.

The race for the 9th Congressional District, which encompasses Columbia, is running tight, as Democratic candidate Judy Baker is beating her Republican rival Blaine Luetkemeyer by a 50-47 margin, according to the Missouri Secretary of State.
