Missouri Democratic Party Chairman steps down
Missouri Democratic Party Chairmen John Temporiti will step down at a reorganization meeting this Saturday at the Democratic reorganization meeting.
"It has been an absolute honor to lead the party at such a historic time," Temporiti said in a news release. "I'm proud of the job the party has done in expanding the electoral map for Missouri Democrats. The advancements we have made over the last couple of years paid dividends in November and will continue to do so for years to come."
Although the Democrats picked up the Governors seat during his tenure, they also lost three state senate seats in the past election, including state Sen.-elect Kurt Schaefer's upset win over state Sen. Chuck Graham, D-Coumbia.
