Lt. Gov. candidates to debate

Republican incumbent Peter Kinder speaks of the success of the Tour of Missouri race this week while Democratic nominee Sam Page and Libertarian nominee Teddy Fleck listen on during a debate between the lieutenant governor candidates on Friday at the Stoney Creek Inn in Columbia. The debate, mainly between Kinder and Page, centered on issues ranging from tourism to health care.

Missouri lieutenant governor nominees will bring their race for the state capitol to Columbia Friday at 9:15 a.m

Republican incumbent Peter Kinder, Democratic nominee Sam Page and Libertarian nominee Teddy Fleck will participate in a forum at Stoney Creek Inn at 2601 S Providence Rd.

Health care, unemployment and education are likely to be topics for the discussion. Although not technically a debate, the candidates will take turns answering questions and will have an opportunity to make a short response in some cases.

Students wanting to attend the forum should head south on Providence, cross over Stadium Drive and continue until they see the Stony Creek Inn on the right.
