Michelle Obama stumps in Kansas City

Michelle Obama will discuss the importance of participating in this year's election at a rally Wednesday in Kansas City, according to the Obama-Biden campaign.

Obama's visit falls just one week before Missouri's Oct. 8 voter registration deadline.

The Change We Need rally will take place at 18th Street between Vine Street and Highland Street in Kansas City. Doors open at 4 p.m. and the event is set to begin at 5:10 p.m.

The event is free and open to the public. Tickets are not required, but the campaign would appreciate an RSVP on its Missouri Web site.
