UMKC adult education class invokes Obama

An adult education program offered through UM-Kansas City is looking to Pres.-elect Barack Obama for a face and a slogan.
The program, called Communiversity, is using a cartoon likeness of Obama — as well as his famed campaign slogan, "Yes We Can" — for the cover of its course catalog. Coincidentally, the program offers a course in community organizing.
According to the program's Web site, Communiversity utilizes volunteers to teach the courses, which range from financial planning seminars to belly dancing. The program attracts approximately 8,000 students a year.
