President Obama coming to Macon, Mo.
President Barack Obama is coming to Macon, Mo. on Wednesday to tour a biorefinery, according to a White House news release.
Macon is about 60 miles from Columbia, but if you wanted to get tickets, you're out of luck, the event is closed to the public.
The president will tour Poet Biorefining during the morning and talk with workers there about the economy. After this, according to the release, he will go to a nearby local farm and meet with the family who runs it.
His trip is part of the larger "White House to Main Street Tour."
In Dec. 2009, Obama started the tour in Pennsylvania and has since visited Ohio and Georgia, a White House news release stated.
"In an effort to spend some time outside of Washington and talk to American families about what they are experiencing during these tough economic times, the President will regularly visit communities across the country and meet with members of the community and share ideas for rebuilding our economy for the long term," the release stated.
