Texas Preview

The Missouri Tigers head to Austin, Texas this weekend to take on the No. 1 team in the nation, the Texas Longhorns. For the most part, Missouri is very healthy for this point at the season. Sophomore wide receiver Jeremy Maclin has a knee bruise, and senior offensive lineman Colin Brown has a turned ankle, but both are listed as probable to play.

Now on to Texas. Missouri has not won in Austin since 1896. Texas is led by junior quarterback Colt McCoy. McCoy is being considered one of the top runners for the Heisman Trophy at this point. On defense, the Longhorns have two of the best defensive ends in the country in senior Brian Orakpo and senior Henry Melton. They are inexperienced at safety though, with freshmen Earl Thomas and Blake Gideon starting. MU must exploit the safety's inexperience if they expect to come out of Austin with a win.

ABC is broadcasting the game on prime time national television. Missouri will look to have a better showing on national television than they did last week, having three interceptions in a loss to Oklahoma State. If Missouri plays like they did in the first five games this season, than expect a great game. If they play like they did last weekend against Oklahoma State, then get ready for a long night.

Prediction: Texas 35, Missouri 31
