Colorado hopes to spoil Missouri homecoming

This weekend, Missouri will play host to the Colorado Buffaloes on another national televised game, this one on FSN at 5:30 C.T. The last two weeks have shown that the Missouri offense is in fact human, and that they can be stopped. Chase Daniel is no longer the leading Heisman Trophy candidate, and if Missouri doesn't shut the flood gates soon, than this could go down as one of the most disappointing seasons in school history.

Two weeks ago, Missouri was thinking about a possible national championship game. As ESPN's College Gameday's Lee Corso says: "Not so fast my friend." Oklahoma State came and upset the #2/3 Tigers at the time, which was just an opening act to the pounding that Texas put on Missouri last weekend.

For the most part, the Tigers are a healthy team. Senior defensive lineman Tommy Chavis had his ankle rolled on, and junior wide receiver Danario Alexander has a high ankle sprain. Both are listed as probable for Colorado.

Colorado brings in a two-quarterback system. True freshman Tyler Hanson, who had his first playing time in a win against Kansas State last week, and sophomore quarterback Cody Hawkins. Both are playing at a high-level right now, and will look to exploit the struggling Missouri secondary. The MU secondary will look to senior free safety William Moore to step up this week. Moore led the nation with eight interceptions last season, but through the first half this season, does not have one interception. The MU offense returns many starters from a team last year that put up 55 points on the Buffaloes. Senior tight end Chase Coffman also had three touchdowns against Colorado last season. Look for Coffman to expand off of his great effort the past two weeks.

Prediction: Missouri 42, Colorado 24
