Women's Soccer shines in second exhibition

Women's soccer dominated Illinois State Sunday morning at Walton Stadium, blanking the visiting Redbirds 5-0. Sophomore forward Alysha Bonnick (pictured) picked up a hat trick, netting all three of her goals in the second half of the match.
The Tigers kept up a steady offensive attack throughout the game, with nine shots in each half. The defense was stellar as well, surrenduring only three shots, none on goal.
Senior defender Kat Tarr and freshman midfielder Kendra Collins scored Mizzou's other two goals, both in the first half.
The Tigers begin regular season play at Walton Stadium against Illinois on Aug. 23 at 6:30 p.m.
