Student tickets for Baylor, Kansas games sold out
Score another moral victory for the MU men's basketball team.
In the well-chronicled quest to lure fans back to Mizzou Arena, the program's ascension in the eyes of the students took another step toward legitimacy Tuesday afternoon.
In an email addressed to holders of the Student Season Ticket Combo, the Missouri Athletic Department announced that all student tickets for the Jan. 31 game against Baylor and the Feb. 9 game against Kansas have been claimed. According to the email, "student ticket pick-ups began on Nov. 17th for the Baylor game and Dec. 7th for the Kansas game and the allotments for these two games have been exhausted."
With enough support from general sales, the team could be looking at its first sellout of the season at Mizzou Arena. The team has drawn 12,000-plus in attendance for the last two games, inching closer to Mizzou Arena's capacity of 15,061.
The team's next sellout will be its first since Jan. 19, 2008. Missouri lost that evening to Kansas, 76-70.
