Carroll selected in first round of NBA Draft
DeMarre Carroll is headed to Memphis.
The former Missouri Tiger was selected by the Memphis Grizzlies as the 27th overall pick in the NBA Draft. It was the first time a former Tiger was selected in the draft in four years.
In leading Missouri to an undefeated home season and an appearance in the Elite Eight, Carroll averaged 16.6 points and 7.2 rebounds per game.
He was named to the first team All-Big 12 and also earned a spot on the first team Academic All-Big 12 squad.
