Dalton kicked off football team
Freshman quarterback Blaine Dalton has been dismissed from the Missouri football team effective immediately, according to a news release.
The release cited a "violation of team conduct policies" as reason for Dalton's dismissal.
In April, Dalton was arrested after a traffic stop found him in possession of prescription pills and alcohol. He eventually pleaded guilty to minor in possession of alcohol and a pair of traffic offenses after saying the pills belonged to a friend.
The freshman spent the preseason fighting for a backup role at quarterback.
