The Missouri volleyball team fell to 11-7 on the season and 3-5 in conference play with a 3-1 loss to Oklahoma Saturday night.

Senior outside hitter Paola Ampudia led the Tigers with a Big 12 four-set season high 29 kills, which was the most by any Tiger this season. Freshman setter Molly Kreklow recorded her fifth double-double of the season, with 49 assists and 13 digs. Senior outside hitter Julianna Klein also tallied a double-double, with 11 kills and 13 digs.

At three blocks per set, the Tigers front row defended at a much better rate than they have all season. The team had five players record digs in the double-digits, led by senior libero Caitlyn Vann with 21.

The Tigers struggled on offense, with 36 attack errors and 53 total errors on the match. Oklahoma’s offense relied heavily upon freshman middle blocker Sallie McLaurin, who tallied 16 kills on .294 hitting. Missouri hit just .125 on the night while Oklahoma hit on a .191 clip, totaling 61 kills for the night.

The Tigers will look to rebound from their loss on Wednesday when they travel to College Station to take on the Texas A&M Aggies.
