Rethinking the Midwest Region bracketology

After the first round of action, there's a lot to rethink about the NCAA Tournament. Unexpected upsets and tight games across the board prove this will be an extremely competitive tournament. So here's my latest predictions for the second round and the Sweet 16 for the Midwest Region:

Best team: Until anyone else proves otherwise, the Kansas Jayhawks are the team to beat.

Contenders: Ohio State should play Tennessee in the Sweet 16, and the winner of that game could be the team with the best chance to beat Kansas.

Best matchup: It's still No. 4 Maryland and No. 5 Michigan State.

Game we want to see: No. 1 Kansas vs. No. 6 Tennessee. The Vols are one of only two teams to beat Kansas during the regular season, so it'd be interesting to see the rematch.

Cinderella: No big upsets in this bracket, so the best we can do is say that Tennessee will catch a hot streak and roll to the Final Four.

Sweet 16 picks: No. 1 Kansas, No. 5 Michigan State, No. 6 Tennessee, No. 2 Ohio State

So, who wins?: Kansas wins.
