The Missouri Tigers advance to the second round of the Big 12 Tournament with an 88-84 victory over the Texas Tech Red Raiders.
Junior guard Marcus Denmon led the Tigers with 20 points on 8 of 16 shooting on the night. Missouri guards Michael Dixon and Kim English also chipped in with 17 and 15 respectively.
The Tigers advance to play the Texas A&M Aggies in the second round of the tournament. Missouri narrowly lost in its regular season meeting with Texas A&M, dropping the road contest 91-89 in overtime. Tipoff is scheduled for 8:30 p.m. at the Sprint Center in Kansas City.
