Playing every minute in all but one game this season, senior defender Allison Hu has shown her dedication on the field.
Yesterday, though, Hu demonstrated her off-the-field capabilities.
The College Information Sports Directors of America named Hu to the Capital One Academic All-America Division I Women’s soccer team. Hu was awarded a spot on the second team.
A transfer from Saint Louis University, Hu holds a 4.0 grade point average and expects to earn a degree in health sciences in May 2013. The Southeastern Conference named her Co-Scholar-Athlete of the Year earlier this month.
Since its inception 17 years ago, the Missouri soccer program boasts two Academic All-Americans. Hu joins Karen Bauer, a two-time selection in 2003 and 2004.
