Five Tigers named to Academic All-Big 12
Seven players on the Missouri women’s basketball team were named to the 2012 Academic All-Big 12 teams Tuesday.
Freshmen Morgan Eye and Bree Fowler, sophomore Tori Niemann, junior Liz Smith and senior Bailee Gee were named to the first team. Junior Liene Priede and Maggie Flynn were named to the second team. This was Gee’s second nomination in her career, as she was named to the first team for the 2010-2011 season.
Students must earn a 3.20 grade point average or better to be named to the first team, while being named to the second team requires a GPA between 3.00 and 3.19.
The Tigers tied the Texas Longhorns with the most players named to the All-Academic Team.
