Senior forward Laurence Bowers will most likely miss the No. 17 Tigers' upcoming game against No. 10 Florida, coach Frank Haith said.
Bowers sprained his right MCL in Missouri's (13-3, 2-1 Southeastern Conference) win over Alabama on Jan. 8. At the time the team said Bowers would miss games against Ole Miss and Georgia, then be reevaluated.
"I would anticipate him not playing more so than playing because he hasn't practiced," Haith said Thursday after conveying a different message in a postgame press conference Wednesday night.
"Oh, he's doing great, he's actually doing really well," he said after a 79-62 win against Georgia. "We got some really good news at how it's coming along. I still don't know that he'll play Saturday, but we're really pleased with his progress thus far."
Bowers missed all of last season with an ACL tear in his left knee.
