Missouri, Kansas State headed to fifth set
In the first set where it seemed like both teams were playing to their capability, Kansas State pulled out a 25-19 victory in a thrilling fourth set to force the match to a fifth.
Setter Lei Wang was absolutely incredible for Missouri in the fourth set. Wang distributed the ball brilliantly, masking her passes effectively, easing the block pressure on Missouri's hitters. Megan Wilson, Lauren Nuckolls and Julianna Klein all came up with big kills to put Kansas State on the ropes.
However, Kansas State called a timeout down 20-19, then proceeded to rattle off six straight points to take the set. Missouri failed to get a lot of good first touches on the set's later points, which eventually came back to haunt the Tigers.
